Friday night at RustyCon 28 saw a performance from Nathaniel Johnstone and Philistines. They were joined by the wonderously talented Sarah Kate and Letty Noelle of Copper Clock Belly Dance.

Over the Edge: Little Lost Dolly

clock January 16, 2011 20:38 by author Amber

Ivan Ewert. Where do I start? The first series of stories that I read by him was Vorare, a series about the gentleman ghouls. It was a very dark series that was a joy to read. I only shot a few of the photos for this series, just coming in and shooting an image or two where necessary for him. I am very happy to be shooting his new series on the Edge of Propinquity, "Idolwood". Working with a new author is always an exciting journey of discovery. And the one off photos I've done for him in the past don't count because we never talked out the icongraphy of those series. While "Foundations" didn't give me nightmares, my sleep was certainly restless that night when I read it before bed.

My hope is that the photo creeps you out like the story creeped me out.

Over the Edge: Driven

The first guest author story of the new year went live on Saturday. "Woman, Mother, Monster" by Steven Saus and I give you an image "Driven".

The blurb for the story, sets up this photo rather nicely. "Months after a little boy goes missing, the distraught parents turn to a private investigator who is more than she seems. Their loss calls to her long ago loss and what she discovers is that the culprit is closer to home than expected." January is normally a wet month is western Washington and this one seemed a little wetter than usual and poor Torrey Stenmark walked and ran in the cold, earthy mud for me in her bare feet to get this shot of a driven woman looking for closure of any kind.
